About the event
Summer in Japan is sticky hot but there is one way to cool down — stories about ghosts. Traditionally Japanese people believe there is a distinct and separate world for the dead, however, our ancestors can come back to our lives once in the middle of summer. In Kyoto we can see several places which are believed to be an entrance to the other world of the dead. Through this tour, we will visit one such area; learn traditional Japanese customs in summer; and tell some humorous ghost stories.
